World Intellectual Property Day #worldipday

Apr 26, 2019 – Apr 26, 2019
You are all invited to participate at the public march on the 26th of April 2019 in the Harare Central Business District as we join the rest of the world in celebrating the World Intellectual Property (IP) Day. #worldipday

World IP Day is an opportunity to highlight the role that IP rights (patents, trademarks, industrial designs, copyright in music, literature or films) play in encouraging innovation and creativity. A balanced IP system recognizes and rewards inventors and creators for their work and ensures that the society benefits from their creativity and ingenuity.

This year’s World Intellectual Property Day theme -REACH FOR GOLD: IP AND SPORTS – takes a closer look inside the world of sports. It explores how innovation, creativity and the IP rights encourage, protect and support the development of sport and its enjoyment around the world.

Participants are going to start the march from the Harare Gardens close to Art Gallery into Sam Nujoma (2nd St) then go down Herbert Chitepo up Simon Muzenda (4th St) go along Simon Muzenda to Jason Moyo, turn into Leopold Takawira into Samora Machel then Julius Nyerere back to Harare Gardens.

The march will start at 1000hrs and end at 1200hrs.

We look forward to seeing you all on this day!
